Mouse Amusements

Mice benefit from having toys to play with in their cages, but many mice have been injured while using wheels. English fancy mice in particular can be injured easily because of their size and tail length. Wheels should be used only under supervision. If the wheel is built into the cage, you can tie it to the cage when you are not around. Some people believe fancy mice become more nervous using wheels than they do without them. You can experiment for yourself. Many breeders prefer to give their fancy mice objects to climb into and on, as well as toys the mice can carry around.
