Cavy
Constructing a Cavy Funhouse
Cavies are very playful. Young animals frolic like colts and can amuse you for hours with their antics. Plastic cat toys with bells make good toys for cavies. For added entertainment, you can build your pets a series of ramps and tunnels. Use food treats to encourage them to climb the ramps. They can learn to negotiate a maze which can be made from scrap wood. An inverted cardboard box can become a cavy "barn" by cutting out some doors and windows. Empty cereal boxes, especially tubular oatmeal containers, can be converted into cavy houses and tunnels.
